Editorial Independence

AI Doomsday accepts no funding, advertising, or sponsorship from AI companies, technology vendors, or investment funds with stakes in the AI sector. Editorial decisions are made solely by the editorial team and are not subject to review or approval by any external party.

We do not publish sponsored content, native advertising, or paid placements in any form. If this changes, it will be disclosed clearly on affected pages.

Story Selection

We cover events, research, and decisions that have measurable consequences for people's jobs, safety, rights, and access to information. Stories are selected on the basis of verified impact, not virality or engagement.

We do not cover AI product launches, benchmark announcements, or company valuations unless they carry direct societal implications that meet our editorial threshold.

Sourcing and Verification

Every factual claim in our articles is supported by at least one primary source: an original document, official announcement, peer-reviewed study, or direct statement from a named party. Secondary sources are used only when primary sources are unavailable or inaccessible.

Sources are listed at the end of each article. We link to the original material whenever possible. When sources are behind paywalls, we indicate this with appropriate link attributes.

We do not cite anonymous sources for factual claims. When off-the-record context informs our analysis, we indicate this without attributing specific statements to unnamed individuals.

Tone and Voice

AI Doomsday publishes analysis, not advocacy. Our coverage is direct, factual, and structured around documented evidence. We distinguish clearly between reported facts and editorial interpretation.

Sections marked as Opinion or Analysis contain positions held by named authors. News and explainer content is reported without editorialising the facts themselves.

Corrections Policy

When we publish inaccurate information, we correct it promptly and visibly. Corrections are noted at the top of the relevant article with the date of the correction and a clear description of what changed. We do not silently edit published articles.

To report a factual error, contact us via the address on our About page. We aim to respond within 48 hours and to publish verified corrections within 72 hours.

Authors

All articles are written and signed by named members of the AI Doomsday team. Author credentials and areas of expertise are published on individual author pages. We do not publish unsigned articles or content written by AI without disclosure.

When AI tools are used in the research or drafting process, the published article reflects the independent judgment of the named author. All factual claims are verified by the author before publication.

Updates and Revisions

Articles covering developing situations may be updated as new information becomes available. Substantive updates are noted at the top of the article with the date. Minor corrections to grammar or formatting are made without notation.
